About Wrightsville Glassing

Through the purchase of the Australian made APS 3000, thought by many in the industry to be the most sophisticated shaping machine on the market today Wrightsville Glassing is ready to change the way surfboards are made from design inception to final product. Australian surfers - who also happen to be mechanical and software Engineers designed the APS 3000 machine to assist in the production of custom surfboards. Our APS 3000 surfboard design software will be managed and operated by Bill Cook. Bill will be happy to assist all surfboard manufactures, both large and small, in creating their own software custom surfboard shapes and the use of the APS 3000 to shape those custom boards.

When this step is done, you can take your custom shaped boards with you - or better yet have a rest and let the team at Wrightsville Glassing finish the boards for you!

Wrightsville Glassing offers Shawn O'Donnell fifteen years of expertise in shaping, glassing, and designing surfboards.

Shawn O'Donnell might have started the whole party at Wrightsville Glassing as its Owner but he's also known for his expertise in shaping, glassing, and designing surfboards. During non-party hours Shawn is the Shaper and Glassing Manager at Wrightsville Glassing. By using today's, as well as old school glassing and painting techniques, Shawn can help you with all your polyester and epoxy glassing needs. And since he is also our Quality Control Manager he personally inspects and approves each finished board before it leaves the shop.

Wrightsville Glassing has over 30 years of combined experience and our staff has the knowledge, skill, and craftsmanship needed in all areas of quality surfboard construction to do you, your boards, and your customers right! Wrightsville Glassing is based on the character of being straight up. We won't lie or bullshit. We'll provide you with the date your custom order will be completed. Our production schedule is based on "first come first serve" because all our customers are important to us. One of the first rules in surfing is not to take a wave from another surfer going for the wave. Wrightsville Glassing uses that same basis in our belief and promise that we would never try to steal your custom board designs or your customers. We'll keep the APS 3000 machine at our shop and you keep your designs and customers.
